Johannsen, 149 Minories, London, 52mm, heavy 18K gold OF original case bearing London hallmarks for 1875, incuse "H W" marking for casemaker Henry Webb, rear with initials, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-nail-set with tab under bezel at 1 that is pressed inward while crown is turned, fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstone, 19J, gilt mvt, s#6103 with matching serial number within case and to dial. Gross weight of assembled watch 93.5 dwt (145.4 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running after a sluggish start, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scattered splotches of mild haze to plate surface; dial with short hl above seconds-register; excellent hands; case shows light wear, some fine to micro-fine scratches, no dents or dings, good engine turning detail to central portion of rear progressing to portions of weakness and full loss at rear shoulder; tight bow, crown shows little wear; glass crystal with some scratches.
